It was the martini burp heard round the world that annihilated the romance between ‘Bachelor Pad’s Peyton Wright and Jesse Beck, but the gaseous upchuck didn’t stop the two from teaming up Monday night and making a-go for the $250K. Sadly, though, the Outsider couple wasn’t a match for the dominating power couples, and in the end, they were voted off to frolic back home to honky-tonk country.
In a conference call with reporters, Peyton and Jesse B. discuss how they feel about the game, who should win, and where their relationship is today post-burp.
How did you feel when you discovered that Natalie voted you guys off?
Peyton: I really didn’t know how she voted going into the rose ceremony, and I guess up until watching the show I had assumed she voted us out from the very beginning. It’s interesting to see that she was kind of pulling for us all along.
Who do you think it going to win the competition in the end?
Peyton: Dave Good. I think he played the game the best and he deserves it.
Jesse B: I think you’re right. Dave’s played well. But I’m really surprised at Tenley’s play. I guess she’s in it to win. We’ll see.
Should you have tried a little harder to break up the couples?
Peyton: I don’t want to play the coulda-woulda-shoulda game. At the end of the day, we didn’t win the competition and so we can’t blame anybody but ourselves. I’m sure Nikki is kicking herself for not sticking with voting Kiptyn out early, but that’s where the cards fall.
Jesse B: Breaking up the couples was definitely huge, but like Peyton said, that’s how the cards fall.
Are there any remaining romantic sparks between the two of you?
Jesse B: Just friends. She’s a good girl.
Peyton, was it really the burp that turned you off to Jesse B?
Peyton: My facial expressions were brutal, but I really had the best time that night and I wouldn’t have wanted to be with anyone but him.
Any plans to burp in another girl’s face in the near future?
Jesse B: It wasn’t actually in her face! I have three sisters! I was obviously trying not to impress Peyton!
Do you think you and Jesse B will be friends after the show?
Peyton: Oh, absolutely! Jesse B is like a little brother to me. I look at him as a very good friend, and he’ll be a friend for a very long time.
Now that you know that the remaining couples will have to dance their way to $250K, are you glad that you got voted off when you did?
Jesse B: I’m not gonna lie, I’m kinda glad! The dancing competition might’ve been a little tough to win for me!
What are you looking forward to at the finale?
Peyton: I’ll be interested in seeing the dynamic between Elizabeth and Kovacs after watching the show. I know that maybe Nikki was hurt by some of the things that Natalie said about her.
By the way, what’s the deal with Elizabeth and Kovacs?
Peyton: I was always wondering what in the world was going on with them. It appears that they were a couple last night. I’ll be very interested to see how he will respond to watching her…a lot of her interviews and things that she said that we didn’t see—I was shocked by a lot of it. It really irritated me that Elizabeth wasn’t there for the money; she was there for him and [the guys] didn’t vote her out.
Will we be seeing your face on TV again any time soon?
Jesse B: The whole interviewing process I’m just not good at it. It’s not up my alley, know what I mean? Maybe if it was something like ‘Survivor’ maybe I could do that.
Peyton: I don’t have any plans to be on television, but I love the camera—I think it’s a blast!

Please don’t do this show again…. I’m beating myself up with the arm I cut from my body for watching this debacle of a show. Thank you
