The Bachelor: Ashley Elmore, Nice Girls Finish Last

My interview can also be found on Fancast.com.

So far this season, Bachelor Jake Pavelka has been determined to defy the notion that “Nice guys finish last.” But unfortunately for ousted contestant Ashley Elmore–best known for her flight attendant dress-up stint–the stereotype holds true for nice girls, too. Although Elmore was initially saddened that her time with Jake was cut short, the upbeat 29-year-old teacher, who currently resides in Fairfax, Virginia, says she loved the experience and would “one hundred percent do it again” if given the chance. “Jake was wonderful even though him and I didn’t form that connection. We got to go on such fun dates, and I got to meet some amazing women and, overall, I think it was a really positive experience,” she says.

As for the over-publicized Rozlyn Papa debacle, Elmore admits she had seen a bit of “flirting” in between takes but that it was Elizabeth, Gia, and Vienna who observed Papa’s “cuddling and leg touching” with the former staffer. Nonetheless, she says no one in the house anticipated the extent of the affair or that it would’ve resulted in Papa’s dismissal from the show.

Now that she’s no longer a contender for Jake’s affections, is Elmore rooting for anyone on the show? The happy-go-lucky singleton confides she actually has three in mind–Tenley, Ali, and Elizabeth. She describes Tenley as “extremely positive and warm and outgoing” and appreciates Ali’s strength, intelligence, and dedication to her career. And how about the football-throwing, non-smooching controversial Elizabeth? Elmore says, unlike some of the other girls, she hit it off immediately with the Nebraskan beauty. “I really saw a really good person in her. And she is going to be one of the girls when I go to the reunion show that I’m just going to give a great big hug to, that I’m going to be so, so excited to see.”
